Qualitative Changes in Communication Competency Among Women in Bihar, India: Heifer International’s Impact on Personal Transformation

<i>The United Nation (UN) lists ending poverty in all its forms as the number one prerogative among seventeen sustainable development goals. One organization that is seeking to make an impact on those who live Heifer International, a global nonprofit based States, whose mission “to end world hunger and while caring for Earth.” By using Values-Based Holistic Community Development, has helped lift millions of people out poverty. In this article, we present results study conducted Bihar, India assess International programming participants’ communication competency. Grounded over 100 interviews with women across four time periods, show have partnered experience significant qualitative changes competency five areas: expressiveness, assertiveness, persuasiveness, openness, positiveness.
